Glasses for Kids

State Schools’ Relief is once again proud to be delivering the Glasses for Kids (GFK) program, which will be rolled out from Term 1, 2020. The very first schools are due to be seen the week of 2nd March, 2020!

Glasses for Kids is an early intervention program which aims to remove vision impairments as a potential barrier to educational engagement in Prep to Grade 3 level students in selected schools across Victoria.  GFK will provide free comprehensive eye exams and if required, glasses at no cost, to participating students.

The previous GFK program, which concluded at the end of 2018, was a great success with 290 schools visited by qualified optometrists who tested more than 20,000 children and provided 1,904 of these students with glasses.
